Everything in Your Beauty Routine Just Got a Target Upgrade

17 May 2025

Explore affordable beauty products from brands like Sunday Riley, Kopari, BYOMA, and more. This isn’t a knock against Disneyland, but we do know: Target is the happiest place on Earth.

What’s better than a leisurely stroll through the aisles (after a cup of Starbucks Bee Coffee, of course) and stuffing your cart with all the important items on your shopping list and a slew of other things?

What delicious treats did you discover on your trip? We didn’t think so.

Target is not only a top destination for trendy home accessories and fun fashion collaborations, but it’s also a great place to shop for all kinds of beauty stuff.

“On TikTok, you can find everything from the hottest brands to emerging brands to clean brands, and at a wide range of price points,” said beauty expert and makeup artist Erica Marie Gatt.

One of the best ways to find affordable beauty products and discover top brands is through Target’s extensive beauty collections.

Since there are options across all categories, there’s something for everyone (or at least a lot of it).

You’ll be surprised to learn that Target has repositioned itself as the go-to place for TikTok beauty products, celebrity makeup artist favorites, and dermatologist-recommended skincare products.

Since we’re always on the lookout for beauty trends, we enlisted a beauty expert to help us spend a few hours researching the best beauty bundles at Target—from bath and body accessories to makeup and skincare bundles.

Overall, here are the best bath and body bundles from Kopari Forever Faves. Coconut oil is the star of the show, and you can shop three of its best-selling products here.

There’s a delicious body scrub with coconut flakes and brown sugar to slough off dead skin cells, and a powerful lip gloss to keep your lips moisturized and shiny. But our favorite?

Their coconut oil is basically pure coconut oil that works wonders for dry cuticles and can be used as a body butter, hair mask, and more.

Best Skincare Sunday Riley Good Genes Power Couple Mini Kit

This is Gatt’s favorite product, and he says both of them are effective at brightening your skin.

The set includes the retinol-based Luna Sleeping Night Oil and the brand’s popular Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment (a longtime favorite of the Byrdie team).

Although they’re smaller products, they’re perfect for on-the-go and offer a cost-effective way to try recipes before investing in the more expensive originals.

Best Makeup Brushes: Moda Brush Pro Full Face 13-Piece Makeup Brush Set

With this brush set, you’ll never have to buy makeup brushes again.

It has every size and shape you need or want—from an angled eyeliner brush to a fan brush for highlighting to a dome-shaped brush for blending.

Both are made with vegan, cruelty-free synthetic bristles and work equally well with cream and powder formulas. We love that they also come with a carrying case to store your brushes.

Best Under $20 BYOMA’s Hydrating Starter Skincare Set contains three pieces that have just about everything you need for your skincare routine (only the sunscreen is missing).

The brand creates hydrating, gentle, alcohol- and fragrance-free formulas to strengthen the skin barrier—ideal for nearly all skin types.

You can get a jelly cleanser, hydrating serum, and gel moisturizer here—all in one pretty box. Best Nail Polish Sets from Olive and June Select.

Anyone who loves a DIY manicure will love this set. You’ll get three of the brand’s best-selling shades—classic red, sheer nude, and bubblegum pink—along with a super-shiny, long-lasting top coat.

All of the bottles are original size, which is always a plus for us. While this set doesn’t include a nail tool, the brand offers a set that’s also available at Target.

Best Bevel Men’s Skincare Sets for Men Don’t be fooled by Target’s selection of men’s grooming products.

This set, for example, includes basically everything you need for an effective skincare routine: a cleansing gel, daily exfoliating pads (which are also great for preventing ingrown hairs), and a gel moisturizer.

These formulas are perfect for normal, oily, or acne-prone skin.

Best CleanPacifica Vegan Collagen Facial Another one of Gait’s recommendations: “This is the perfect skincare trio for hydrating, plumping, and replenishing skin while traveling,” she says.

There are cleansing gels, night creams, and patches that work to reduce puffiness around eyes and smooth out smile lines around mouth.

Not only do all of their products work, but they clean, too — Target has its own “clean” criteria, making it easy for those looking for a more natural alternative to find products that meet their needs.

Best Fragrance: French Mood Boost Fragrance Discovery Kit. Looking for a new fragrance? Fragrance kits like this one are the perfect starting point for your scent search.

Try five different scents; each product is named after a specific mood and offers a unique combination of different notes. If you like to mix things up, you can mix them up as well.

These small bottles are also TSA-approved, making them perfect for carry-on.

Best Travel Kits for HairPattern: Travel-sized products aren’t necessarily the most durable, but these are the exception — each small tube is refillable.

This kit includes shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner, perfect for a variety of curly, frizzy, and kinky hair textures.

How fun is the packaging?

Best for Eyes: It Cosmetics Beautiful Together Eye Trio: “This trio has just about everything you need to create the perfect eye look,” Getter says of another of her favorite products.

These include a mascara (to add volume and length to eyes), an ultra-pigmented, smudge-proof eyeliner, and a brow pencil.

The pencil, on top of that, comes in a variety of universal shades to suit all hair colors.

Best for Lips: Nudestix Everyday Lip Nudes Mini Kit “I love long-lasting, non-drying, smudge-proof lip products, especially in neutral shades like these,” says Gatt.

(The shades include Dusky Rose, Deep Raspberry, and Blush.) The mini size is perfect for your purse. All three lipsticks even come with a sharpener and mirror, making application easier than ever.

Best Lip Kit: Peripera Ink – Velvet Longwear Lip Tint and Lip Liner Kit. Peripera is a makeup brand known for its vibrant and innovative lip products.

The popular Velvet Longwear Lip Tint kit includes a matching lip liner and is on sale for less than $20 at Target.

Whether it’s for a special occasion or an everyday splash of color, you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to apply and how it coats your lips with rich color.

DQH Can I use salicylic acid first and then vitamin C? It’s easy to create a skincare routine, but knowing how to use it is another thing entirely. In most cases, if you’re not getting the desired skin results, it could be due to the layering of conflicting ingredients. So, is it possible that salicylic acid and vitamin C are such ingredients? Or are these active ingredients the duo that’s been missing from your skincare routine? If you want answers, stick around because today we are going to explain the benefits of salicylic acid and vitamin C and how they can be used in your daily life. What are the benefits of salicylic acid for skin? Salicylic acid is one of the most commonly used beta hydroxy acids and is favored by many people with oily, acne-prone skin. This acid is derived from willow bark, and unlike its water-soluble relatives (called alpha-hydroxy acids), salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which means it can penetrate deeper into the lower layers of the skin. Once it reaches the lower layers, it can help unclog pores of excess sebum, dirt, bacteria, debris, and impurities. This results in clearer skin tones and greater definition. Not only does salicylic acid benefit the underlying layers, but the outer surface of the skin benefits as well. When applied to the skin, salicylic acid removes the buildup of dead skin cells. This is accomplished by breaking the bonds that hold dead cells to the surface. Over time, this can cause the complexion to look dull and prone to acne, blackheads, and other blemishes. If you’d like to learn more about salicylic acid and how it can improve your skin, check out this dedicated blog post from a beauty insider. What are the benefits of vitamin C for skin? Vitamin C is considered one of the most powerful antioxidants, which means it is very effective at fighting free radicals and preventing them from causing further skin damage. Examples of free radicals include pollution, central heating, UV rays and harsh climate. They attack proteins, fats and cell membranes as soon as they come into contact with the skin, causing signs of premature aging such as fine lines and wrinkles as well as hyperpigmentation, flaky patches of skin and loss of elasticity. Many people usually prefer to use vitamin C in their morning routine as this ingredient gives the complexion a radiant glow. You’ll also find that vitamin C can target areas of hyperpigmentation, plumping the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The thing about vitamin C is that there are a lot of outdated studies going back to the 1950s that describe vitamin C as an unstable skin component. Thanks to improvements in modern technology, this is no longer the case as all products now contain a stable form of vitamin C. Visit The Beauty Insider to learn more about vitamin C. So please check out our blog post. Can I use salicylic acid first and then vitamin C? Yes, you absolutely can. In fact, it’s thought that using salicylic acid before using vitamin C ensures it penetrates faster and works faster. This is an efficient way to utilize two power sources, and the reason has to do with pH. For example, the skin’s natural pH is about 4.7, making it slightly acidic. Salicylic acid and vitamin C are also both acidic, and you’ll find that vitamin C is absorbed quickly into the skin. Therefore, using salicylic acid beforehand can increase the acidity of the skin and allow vitamin C to penetrate into the skin faster. While this is considered an effective way to combine two powerful ingredients, you need to be aware of your skin type and how it reacts to certain active ingredients. Even people with perfect, normal skin can experience skin sensitivity and irritation. Therefore, always consult a doctor or dermatologist before using any new products on your skin. It’s also important to follow skin application rules. In this case, you need to use the product correctly to ensure you get the best results for your skin. If you’re not sure what I mean, the basic rule for skin is to start with the thinnest consistency and work your way up to the thickest consistency. This prevents a barrier from forming on the surface, preventing other active ingredients from penetrating the skin. Can I use salicylic acid at night and vitamin C in the morning? Yes, absolutely, this is considered the most effective way to get returns without any adverse side effects. This is because there is enough time between applications to ensure that the skin’s pH levels return to balance. You’ll also find that Vitamin C is rich in antioxidants and is perfect for use in the morning to ensure your skin is protected and looking its healthiest. Due to the small size of salicylic acid molecules, it is an acid that is able to reach the deepest parts of the skin. While this is effective at keeping skin clear, it also increases the risk of irritation and photosensitivity. Therefore, many people prefer to use powerful BHAs in their evening routine without exposure to UV rays, pollution, or harsh weather. Warning: If you avoid using sunscreen every day, none of these ingredients will do what your skin needs. The combination of chemical peels and powerful ingredients increases the risk of further damage to the skin’s surface. Use SPF 50 every day to keep your skin protected and your lipid barrier healthy, even on cloudy days, keeping your skin in top condition.
