Hailey Bieber Just Shared Her Perioral Dermatitis Skincare Routine
In case you haven’t heard it lately, let me remind you: celebs are just like us! They love Rhode skincare and Justin Bieber and struggle with less-than-perfect skin. While these are all universal traits, the best example I can think of here is Miss Hailey Rhode Baldwin Bieber.
On March 28, the model shared a TikTok video opening up about her struggles with perioral dermatitis, an inflammatory skin condition that results in small red papules and/or pustules around your mouth, chin, nose, or eyes. She’s been open about it in the past, but now she’s sharing what she uses to calm her skin during a flareup.
“This is something I’ve had since I was about 19 or 20, and I know a lot of other people deal with it or struggle with it,” she says in a voiceover while close-ups of her skin play. “I’m having a pretty bad flareup right now so I wanted to share what I use when I’m having a flareup.”
Kicking off the routine, Bieber noted that at night she uses a prescription azelaic acid cream to help tone down inflammation. In the daytime, she switches to topical clindamycin, an antibiotic prescription that works to stop the growth of skin bacteria. (“It’s so weird to see someone like Hailey Bieber also using clindamycin,” wrote a fan in the comments. “Nobody talks about it but it’s a life changer.”)
“The only other thing I use when I’m having a flareup of perioral dermatitis would be our Rhode Glazing Milk—it’s super gentle and helps calm the skin,” she adds. And SPF, of course.
At the end of the video, Bieber shows a peek at her skin the day after her flareup. While not completely flawless (skin is skin and never will be!) the bumps were toned down and the 27-year-old had a major glow about her.
“Thanks for sharing this. Everyone thinks your skin is PERFECT and there’s no such thing as perfection,” commented another fan, while others chimed in to ask about the (covered up!) Lip Treatment product tucked in her phone case.
A vulnerable queen with a brilliant new product launch on the way? I guess I changed my mind: Celebs!! They’re (mostly) just like us.
