How to have flawless skin on your wedding day

12 October 2024

How to have flawless skin on your wedding day

Our favorite season is coming: wedding season! We just love to immerse ourselves in the world of ivory, lace, ornaments and rose petals. Congratulations on your upcoming big day!

Second: breathe… everything will go well, and we all know what happens when we are stressed: our skin is the first to suffer! That’s why we want to give you some tips on how to have flawless skin on your wedding day!

1. Start from the inside: Your face is usually a signal of what’s going on inside you! Depending on the source of your blemishes, you can understand which organ or area needs help or TLC. For example, spots on the cheeks are related to the lungs and respiratory tract. Spots on the forehead are related to the liver. In other words, that last cocktail on Saturday that drove you crazy will come back to haunt you in the form of imperfections!

Take advantage of this and make sure everything you put into your body is good for your skin! If you drink less, smoke less, eat more vegetables and multivitamins, you won’t necessarily get great results at first

Notice the difference. However, if after three weeks you find yourself particularly prone to breakouts, your skin will be clearer and more radiant!

Second workout: It sounds like a cliché that you should start working out before your wedding. However, this tip has nothing to do with whether your wedding dress fits or not, rather we are talking about how exercise can do wonders for you.

What your skin can do!

Remember: the more active you are, the more oxygen your body absorbs and delivers to your blood cells. This will make your skin look brighter, in some cases even plumper, and fine lines will be less noticeable!

We don’t expect you to become a crazy marathon runner, but with the plethora of videos on YouTube and Instagram, it has never been easier to train in the comfort of your home! 30 minutes a day will change your skin and the way you think!

So, let’s get started with the plank method!

3. A new addition to your skincare routine: It can be very tempting to try a product that is everywhere and promises good results. The temptation may be a little too great and we don’t want to discourage you, you are the only one

The advice we can give you is to try the product 6 weeks before the big day! This gives you enough time to try it and if your skin doesn’t like it, it still has enough time to completely calm down and regenerate.

4. Add a Facial: Considering the above, changing up your skincare routine might not be the best idea in the world, but adding a few pampering facials might be just what your skin is craving!

Depending on your budget etc, it’s best to book at least one custom facial before the big day (usually a few days before) to get your skin looking incredibly radiant!

Your therapist can tailor a facial just for you and your skin to restore balance and rejuvenate it. Not to mention how easy it is! Choose a therapist you’ve worked with before and feel comfortable with so you can be sure the treatment will be good for your skin and won’t cause any side effects!

5. Keep it Simple: If reading these tips has you thinking “I don’t even have a daily skincare routine” then maybe it’s time to add something to keep your skin looking its best. You don’t have to worry about this

and can easily add a product like a scrub or mask.

Our Purifying Charcoal Detox Mask is a great treatment to remove all the toxins, impurities and pollutants your skin has absorbed throughout the day! Since this mask works in just 10 minutes, it’s an easy addition for you if you’re not too keen on your daily mask yet but want to add a little extra glow to your wedding look!

6. Beauty sleep: We seem to talk about beauty sleep a lot, but we just don’t get enough. Sleeping mode has the added benefit of helping to eliminate eye bags!

Yes, sleeping on your back can reduce eye bags because gravity prevents fluid and blood from flowing into the eye area. This can lead to smaller lower tear sacs and dark circles under the eyes

Brighter.

Don’t believe us?

Try it for yourself!

7. Find the right makeup artist Wedding makeup is big business and with so many different types of makeup artists, it can be overwhelming. Remember to take your time. Don’t rush into finding a makeup artist and schedule as many

as possible to get a trial date. Your bridal makeup will last a lifetime. So take your time and go find someone you completely trust and who understands the instructions you give us.

8. Smile This last tip may make some of you roll your eyes. But there’s nothing worse than a grumpy bride! If you think about it, you spent a fortune on that day and the photographer caught you looking

a little sad… so our final advice: Smile, smile until your cheeks hurt! This alone will make you look flawless and stunning! I hope these tips will help you prepare for your big day! The entire Procoal team wishes you all the best for the future!

DQH Can I use salicylic acid first and then vitamin C? It’s easy to create a skincare routine, but knowing how to use it is another thing entirely. In most cases, if you’re not getting the desired skin results, it could be due to the layering of conflicting ingredients. So, is it possible that salicylic acid and vitamin C are such ingredients? Or are these active ingredients the duo that’s been missing from your skincare routine? If you want answers, stick around because today we are going to explain the benefits of salicylic acid and vitamin C and how they can be used in your daily life. What are the benefits of salicylic acid for skin? Salicylic acid is one of the most commonly used beta hydroxy acids and is favored by many people with oily, acne-prone skin. This acid is derived from willow bark, and unlike its water-soluble relatives (called alpha-hydroxy acids), salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which means it can penetrate deeper into the lower layers of the skin. Once it reaches the lower layers, it can help unclog pores of excess sebum, dirt, bacteria, debris, and impurities. This results in clearer skin tones and greater definition. Not only does salicylic acid benefit the underlying layers, but the outer surface of the skin benefits as well. When applied to the skin, salicylic acid removes the buildup of dead skin cells. This is accomplished by breaking the bonds that hold dead cells to the surface. Over time, this can cause the complexion to look dull and prone to acne, blackheads, and other blemishes. If you’d like to learn more about salicylic acid and how it can improve your skin, check out this dedicated blog post from a beauty insider. What are the benefits of vitamin C for skin? Vitamin C is considered one of the most powerful antioxidants, which means it is very effective at fighting free radicals and preventing them from causing further skin damage. Examples of free radicals include pollution, central heating, UV rays and harsh climate. They attack proteins, fats and cell membranes as soon as they come into contact with the skin, causing signs of premature aging such as fine lines and wrinkles as well as hyperpigmentation, flaky patches of skin and loss of elasticity. Many people usually prefer to use vitamin C in their morning routine as this ingredient gives the complexion a radiant glow. You’ll also find that vitamin C can target areas of hyperpigmentation, plumping the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The thing about vitamin C is that there are a lot of outdated studies going back to the 1950s that describe vitamin C as an unstable skin component. Thanks to improvements in modern technology, this is no longer the case as all products now contain a stable form of vitamin C. Visit The Beauty Insider to learn more about vitamin C. So please check out our blog post. Can I use salicylic acid first and then vitamin C? Yes, you absolutely can. In fact, it’s thought that using salicylic acid before using vitamin C ensures it penetrates faster and works faster. This is an efficient way to utilize two power sources, and the reason has to do with pH. For example, the skin’s natural pH is about 4.7, making it slightly acidic. Salicylic acid and vitamin C are also both acidic, and you’ll find that vitamin C is absorbed quickly into the skin. Therefore, using salicylic acid beforehand can increase the acidity of the skin and allow vitamin C to penetrate into the skin faster. While this is considered an effective way to combine two powerful ingredients, you need to be aware of your skin type and how it reacts to certain active ingredients. Even people with perfect, normal skin can experience skin sensitivity and irritation. Therefore, always consult a doctor or dermatologist before using any new products on your skin. It’s also important to follow skin application rules. In this case, you need to use the product correctly to ensure you get the best results for your skin. If you’re not sure what I mean, the basic rule for skin is to start with the thinnest consistency and work your way up to the thickest consistency. This prevents a barrier from forming on the surface, preventing other active ingredients from penetrating the skin. Can I use salicylic acid at night and vitamin C in the morning? Yes, absolutely, this is considered the most effective way to get returns without any adverse side effects. This is because there is enough time between applications to ensure that the skin’s pH levels return to balance. You’ll also find that Vitamin C is rich in antioxidants and is perfect for use in the morning to ensure your skin is protected and looking its healthiest. Due to the small size of salicylic acid molecules, it is an acid that is able to reach the deepest parts of the skin. While this is effective at keeping skin clear, it also increases the risk of irritation and photosensitivity. Therefore, many people prefer to use powerful BHAs in their evening routine without exposure to UV rays, pollution, or harsh weather. Warning: If you avoid using sunscreen every day, none of these ingredients will do what your skin needs. The combination of chemical peels and powerful ingredients increases the risk of further damage to the skin’s surface. Use SPF 50 every day to keep your skin protected and your lipid barrier healthy, even on cloudy days, keeping your skin in top condition.
