How to Trim a Mask If You Have a Beard
You feel motivated when you see all the videos of people using these incredible hydrating, anti-aging masks that have all the ingredients your skin needs. You want to try them out for yourself. You open the package and suddenly realize: How the hell am I supposed to apply this? It’s designed to fit perfectly on the face, but I have a beard.
Well, trust us, you’re not the only one facing this dilemma and feeling a little lost. Luckily, as a guy with a beard (currently a little smaller than normal, as shown in the picture), we’re here to help with some advice.
Time for the Scissors
You can also wear a mask with a beard, but you’ll have to get a little creative and use scissors. As you can see in the picture below, the mask covers the entire face, but there are indentations in a few places. Depending on where your facial hair is, you can use these slots to trim further, leaving that area free.
Grab the scissors (remember to be careful and not run down the hall with the scissors), and you should cut along the markings. I got the best results with a beard by trimming from the sides (left and right of the nose) down towards the mouth, removing the entire bottom section.
Given how wet they are, they are easy to cut, so even the dullest of scissors will be able to cut through. Assuming you have amazing cutting skills like I do, you should end up with something like the picture below. If not, oh dear.
If you have a moustache, you may need to make another cut from the nose section down. I decided not to do this because mine wasn’t long enough, but in hindsight, it might actually have worked.
The end result should look similar to the one below, minus the goofy grin.
If you have a shorter stubble, you can certainly apply the mask to your entire face, but just based on personal experience, we have to say that it doesn’t adhere as well to facial hair in general.
The extra parts you cut off can be used elsewhere on the skin, such as: B. On the neck (on the part without hair, of course). I personally keep them on my hands so they get a nice moisturizing boost.
Of course, if you have any questions about how to get the best results, feel free to ask us. We’ve also compiled a full FAQ about face masks, which I highly recommend you read through.
