Holiday Skin Care Tips: Follow your routine right. Here are some ways to easily prepare your skin for the holidays, says Dr. Kapur.




1. Start with cleansing: Cleansing must be the first step in any skin care routine. Be sure to cleanse your skin morning and night. Use a good cleanser to remove dirt and pollutants without drying out the skin. Routine

2. Exfoliation is key! Exfoliate twice a week to improve your skin’s cell turnover and blood circulation at the same time. Regular exfoliation can help remove dead skin cells. You can even use physical peels at home or talk to your dermatologist about microdermabrasion (an invasive procedure that rejuvenates skin cells). You can also use chemical peels for deeper exfoliation.



3. Massage your face once a day. A light facial massage every now and then can help restore your complexion. It also helps improve blood circulation, providing more oxygen to skin cells and supporting them to regenerate. You can also use a facial oil that is rich in hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E, and other antioxidants. Massage your face with a jade roller in upward motions, as recommended by your dermatologist.




4. Treat yourself to a facial. The heat of summer and rainy season leaves your skin tanned and discolored. It damages the skin and its structure, making your skin look dull and lifeless. You can opt for a brightening facial that is enriched with multivitamins. It helps reduce sun damage, removes blackheads and whiteheads, and gives your skin a perfect glow, perfect for a vacation.



5. Use a vitamin C serum. Vitamin C serum is good for your skin. Experts explain that it not only helps protect your skin, but also reverses potential damage, giving your skin the glow you always wanted.




6. Choose the right moisturizer. Moisturizer is essential for plumping up your skin. It keeps your skin hydrated and away from external influences. Choose a moisturizer with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and aloe vera to make your skin look radiant and smooth. Apply moisturizer after your serum and before sunscreen. You can also do yoga three times a week. It removes toxins that clog your pores and easily brightens your skin, giving it an extra glow. It is a healthy and simple way to detox your skin and give it a healthy look.



10. Eat nutritious food. Healthy skin depends a lot on what you eat. What you eat shows on your face. With the holidays approaching, you should start incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet.




These include foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like walnuts, avocados, beets, sweet potatoes, and salmon. Avoid cooking oils and sodas and go for healthy drinks like lemonade or orange water instead, says Dr. Kapur.



11. Hydrate Drinking water every few minutes is the only beauty panacea your body needs. It can treat a host of issues like hyperpigmentation, acne, dullness, eye bags, and swollen skin. Whether you are attending a church service or hosting a party, it is important to stay hydrated.




12. Give your skin some love If you love to use makeup, shimmer creams, highlighters and liquid brighteners to make your skin glow, don’t forget to remove it. Lastly: Avoid stress and tension during the holidays. This can show up on the skin and make it dull. Maintain a relaxed, easygoing demeanor and meditate regularly, she adds. While these holiday skincare tips are recommended by experts, your skin type may be different and some of them may not work for you. It’s best to consult a dermatologist before using these tips.

It can be damaged by several everyday factors. Using topical peptides aids in building a stronger barrier,” he says. “Peptides comprise elastic fibers, which are a type of protein. These fibers help to make skin appear taut and firm. Peptides can also help repair damaged skin, relieve inflammation, and even out skin tone. Some peptides can kill acne-causing bacteria that is common in 20-somethings.” Kunin agrees, saying, “Peptides are an excellent entry point for supporting collagen.” She recommends looking for face and eye treatments that contain these collagen-boosting powerhouses. One way to help support it is by exfoliating. “Exfoliation is important to help keep skin fresh and luminous,” Kunin says. She recommends using at-home peel pads as an easy and effective way to exfoliate. “The goal in your 20s is to fight the slowing pace of cell turnover. It is wise to use products that gently exfoliate, yet still remove oil and other impurities. Products that have Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) are a good choice.” According to Somenek, you should only exfoliate two to three times a week. “People of all ages are guilty of over-exfoliating and that can be too much of a good thing,” he says.
